1. Scope and Product Status
This Privacy Policy explains how Liberty Lock Corp. ("Liberty Lock," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information in connection with this website and any Liberty Lock mobile application or related service that we make available (together, the "Services").
The Liberty Lock mobile product is in development. References to planned application, account, subscription, backup, or infrastructure features describe how information may be handled if those features are introduced; they do not represent that a feature is currently available.
2. Website Data
The current website does not include an account portal, web contact form, newsletter signup, advertising tracker, or product analytics integration. When you visit the website, hosting and network providers may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect it, such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, and security events.
The website may store information that is technically necessary for browser operation or security. If Liberty Lock later introduces optional analytics or other non-essential browser storage, this policy and any required choices will be updated before that use begins.
3. Communications You Initiate
The website provides direct email links. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, name, organization, message, attachments, and related correspondence. We use that information to respond, route the request, maintain appropriate business records, and protect our systems and legal interests.
Please do not send vault content, passwords, recovery material, or other sensitive information that is not necessary for your request.
4. Account and Service Data
If a future version of the Services offers accounts, subscriptions, support tooling, synchronization, or backup, Liberty Lock may process the limited information required to provide the feature. The exact fields, purposes, providers, and user controls must be disclosed when the feature is introduced. Depending on the feature, this may include:
- Account identifiers, authentication records, and account settings
- Subscription status and transaction references supplied by an app store or payment provider
- Support records and diagnostic information that you elect to provide
- Encrypted backup material if an optional backup feature is offered and enabled
5. Device-Local Processing
Liberty Lock is being designed so that access-state decisions, protected content, key-related operations, and optional context rules remain on the user’s device where the supported platform permits. The intended service boundary excludes readable vault content, key material, and local context rules from routine backend processing.
These are architecture targets for a product in development, not claims about a released or independently verified implementation. The final application documentation will describe actual data flows, platform dependencies, recovery behavior, and user controls before launch.
6. Infrastructure and Backend Processing
Where a future feature requires network infrastructure, the design target is to limit backend processing to the operational category the feature requires. Possible categories include account state, subscription state, service-security records, and encrypted backup material. A feature-specific disclosure will identify what is sent, why it is needed, and how long it is kept.
7. Technical Data, Analytics, and Cookies
The current website does not include a first-party or third-party analytics SDK, behavioral advertising technology, or marketing cookie integration. Standard hosting and security logs may still be generated as described under Website Data.
A future mobile application may offer diagnostic or performance reporting. Liberty Lock will describe the data and applicable controls before enabling such collection. We will not characterize diagnostic data as anonymous when it can reasonably be linked to a person, account, or device.
8. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information only for relevant operational purposes, including to:
- Deliver, operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website and any Services that are made available
- Respond to support, press, partnership, careers, privacy, and security communications
- Develop and evaluate product features and reliability
- Prevent abuse, investigate security events, and enforce applicable terms
- Comply with law and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users, Liberty Lock, and others
9. Providers and Other Disclosures
We may disclose personal information to vendors that provide hosting, communications, security, professional, or other operational services under appropriate contractual restrictions. If payment, app-store, backup, or similar providers are introduced, their role will be described when the related feature becomes available.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect rights, safety, and security; investigate abuse; or complete a corporate transaction subject to appropriate protections. We do not sell personal information or disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising based on the current website’s operation.
10. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide a requested service, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the data category, the relevant feature, the sensitivity of the information, and applicable requirements. Information may be retained longer in backups or where preservation is legally required.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information in our custody. Security measures vary by system and risk, and no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Product-security architecture described on this website remains a design target until implemented and verified.
12. International Processing
Liberty Lock is based in the United States, and its providers may operate in more than one country. Personal information may therefore be processed in jurisdictions with different data-protection rules. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or other safeguard, Liberty Lock will implement the required measure for the relevant processing.
13. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and the nature of the processing, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may submit a request to office@libertylock.com. We may need to verify your identity and may decline or limit a request where permitted by law.
You may also have the right to appeal a decision or contact a privacy regulator. Because the available rights differ by jurisdiction, Liberty Lock will respond under the law applicable to the request.
14. Children and Minors
The Services are not specifically directed to children. Liberty Lock does not knowingly process a child’s personal information in a manner contrary to applicable law. If we learn that personal information was collected inappropriately, we will take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise remediate it. A parent or guardian may contact office@libertylock.com with a concern.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services and applicable requirements change. The revised policy will identify its effective date. If a change materially affects how an existing Service handles personal information, we will provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
